Position Details:

Join our growing team at Hartford Hospital as a Cardiology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner! You will have the opportunity to work with diverse cardiology populations, including those with myocardial infarction (NSTEMI/STEMI), arrhythmias, heart failure, and various subspecialty cases. As we expand to cover interventional cardiology services, this role offers an exciting opportunity for growth and development. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care across the continuum, collaborating closely with specialty teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Setting: Inpatient, cardiology

Schedule: Full-time, day/night rotating. Premium differentials offered.

Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioner Role Scope:

Under established guidelines and in collaboration and/or supervision with the practice physician(s), Advanced Practitioners perform routine physical examinations, and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.

In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, Advanced Practitioners develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, eg, referral to other health team members or specialists.

Advanced Practitioners provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider's practice as designated by protocols and identifies problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician.

  • Training : Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
